Terms of service.
BOOKING
By placing a booking request the Customer agrees to the following Conditions of Hire.
Bookings are not guaranteed until a date has been confirmed in writing from Kiki Events, and a 50% deposit is paid by the Customer.
For any reason that your date is not available, or your booking is unable to be fulfilled, Kiki Events will inform you within 24 hours and refund your deposit.
The Hire Agreement is between Kiki Events and the Customer as listed on the final Invoice. If the Customer is paying on behalf of a third party, they accept full liability on behalf of the third party and all associated charges.
All rental items remain the property of Kiki Events.
DEPOSITS & PAYMENTS
It is the Customer’s responsibility to check over their final invoice to ensure that it is correct including rental items, quantity, delivery address and dates/times. The Customer is responsible for any additional charges resulting from paying an incorrect invoice.
The balance of any booking is due 7 business days prior to the event. If payment is not received by this date, the booking may be cancelled and no refunds issued.
Payments can be made via direct bank deposit or credit card.
A $100 security deposit will be required upon booking, The Customer agrees to pay Kiki Events replacement, delivery or any other charges that may incur due to loss or damage. If the loss or damage exceeds the security deposit, Kiki Events reserves the right to invoice the replacement charges to the Customer.
Once items have been returned and inspected, the security deposit will be released within 7 business days to the original payment method.
This is a small business and at times wear and tear will be noticeable on some items. Whilst all due care is to ensure the quality of items is to our high standard, please let us know as soon as possible if there are any faults so we can either rectify this in time for your event, and/or make note on your booking
RENTAL PERIOD
Responsibility for the rental items remains with the Customer during the rental period, from pick up or delivery, until the items are accepted returned or collected by Kiki Events.
The rental period refers to the dates/times of hire as agreed and listed on the Customer’s final invoice and any changes must be agreed to by Kiki Events in writing.
For late returns, no shows or any other reason unless agreed upon by Kiki Events, additional hire fees will apply.
DIY RENTALS
Customers have the option to pickup and return (dry hire) items to our Drummoyne headquarters.
It is the Customer’s responsibility to ensure they have appropriate transport (no open trucks/utes/trailers) to safely transport the items.
DELIVERY
A delivery & collection service is available this option is available in the booking engine.
Additional fees may apply if there is limited access (stairs, unloading points) or for late night pickups.
If the Customer does not specify a time at the time of booking, delivery or collection will take place within standard business hours. The Customer must ensure that the designated location is attended during business hours on the agreed delivery or collection date.
CLEANING/RETURN OF ITEMS
Our hire items include fragile items and breakables. The Customer is responsible for taking extra care when handling and cleaning of the rental items, including informing venues if using an external location other than your own home to prevent breakages or damage to items.
Cutlery & Glassware- please remove all food immediately to avoid rust or damage, do not place in the dishwasher.
Vases- please remove water & rinse if applicable
Charger Plates – Charger plates are not dishwasher safe. Always use dinner plates on top. If food spills on a charger plate, hand-rinse or wipe it clean before returning.
Crockery: please remove all excess food, plates are dishwasher safe.
Tablecloths & Table Runners– please place back in the tubs and do not wash
Napkins – Please ensure to count all napkins before returning to the tubs and do not wash.
Candle holders – please remove excess wax before returning otherwise a cleaning fee will apply.
CANCELLATIONS
If cancellation is made more than 14 days before the event, Kiki Events reserves the right to retain 30% of the invoice total (excluding the security deposit). Cancellations within 14 days of the event will incur a 100% charge (excluding the security deposit)
LIABILITY
Kiki Events is not liable for any injury or property damage resulting from the hire of rental items. We reserve the right to amend these Conditions of Hire at any time.
